Waste management in the UK
Every company or organization is looking for ways to cut costs, yet many continue to pay out excessive amounts for waste disposal because the decision maker is a busy person and won't give time to consider other options even though the pay back may be significant.
The current situation
Five years ago it was generally accepted that we lag behind many European countries in the amount of waste that ends up in landfill and the percentage of waste that we recycle.
Progress has been made since then but still not fast enough.
The biggest obstacle to progress is attitude whether at governmental, company board or individual level.

Each and every one of us faces a clear choice - do nothing more than at present, or develop a more sustainable waste management system. Is there any debate?
