Landfill Tax
The landfill tax for 2007 is £24 per tonne, it has risen by £3 a year since 2001. The government has confirmed that it will increase by £8 a year from April 2008 until at least 2010, in an effort to force industrial & commercial corporations to consider recycling as an economically viable solution to waste management.
